Role Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Doncaster, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The CFO will lead the finance function, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management to support sustainable growth.

  • Managing financial reporting
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial statements
  • Providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team

The role involves:

  • Monitoring performance against targets
  • Analyzing financial data to inform decisions
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

The CFO will also:

  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and key external partners
  • Contribute to business planning, risk management, and operational efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance, including experience overseeing corporate finance activities and capital management.
  • Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, with the ability to develop and manage forecasts aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Expertise in Financial Reporting, including the ability to deliver clear, timely reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and significant senior finance leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting regulations and tax requirements; experience in the leisure, travel, or tourism sector is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
