Ready to be the financial partner behind the next stage of a growing events business?
Looking for a role where you sit at the top table, shape the strategy and see your work translate directly into value?
TAC Insights creates some of the most valuable enterprise technology events in Europe. Our conferences bring together senior technology leaders, customers, solution providers and industry experts in the SAP ecosystem to solve real business challenges, build meaningful connections and accelerate digital transformation.
We're a profitable, growing business of around 30 people, generating circa €4-5m in revenue with strong gross margins. Having recently completed a management buyout, we're now professionalising how we plan, report and make decisions as we build towards a significantly larger, more valuable business over the next three years.
That's why we're looking for an experienced, hands-on CFO to join our leadership team on a part-time basis and become a genuine partner to our CEO.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll join our leadership team alongside our Commercial Director and Product Director, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with him on the financial strategy of the business. You will:
- Own the financial strategy, reporting and controls for the business
- Lead and develop our finance team of two, building their capability and driving efficiency/innovation in how they work
- Drive AI, automation and systems transformation across the business to improve productivity, reporting and scalability
- Build robust forecasting models, management information packs and KPI cadence
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle and ongoing cash flow forecasting
- Continuously review the company's cost base and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
- Manage banking relationships and support debt servicing and covenant management
- Provide board-level reporting and governance discipline as we scale
- Partner with the Product and Commercial teams on pricing and commercial value levers
- Advise the CEO on capital allocation, including dividends, reinvestment and debt paydown
- Support the design and implementation of a future employee equity (EMI) scheme
- Build the financial foundations and team capability needed for sustained growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
