Chief Financial Officer | Midlands | Private equity backed | £170,000-£200,000 + exec package
Trinity House Group are partnering with a highly successful, cash generative, PE backed business on the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer as it enters an exciting new chapter under new institutional ownership.
As a newly owned PE backed company, this is a rare chance for the incoming CFO to shape the finance function and play a central role in an ambitious growth plan.
You'll report directly to the CEO, sit on the Board and be the principal finance contact for shareholders and lenders. A structured handover will be in place.

What you'll be doing
- Leading the financing agenda, including debt management, covenants, refinancing and optimising leverage in a capital intensive model.
- Building a stronger focus on cash alongside the existing P&L and EBITDA mindset
- Owning shareholder and board reporting, and evolving it with the investor over time
- Bringing commercial rigour to new contracts and growth opportunities, with a clear view of returns, hurdle rates and risk
- Improving cost visibility and control, particularly across maintenance and procurement
- Shaping and developing the finance team through an ERP implementation and a move away from manual processes
- Partnering the CEO and leadership team, and bringing people with you rather than imposing change on them
What we're looking for
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- A track record of professionalising finance functions and delivering change through systems, process and people within a PE environment
- Essential experience of working with external shareholders, debt and refinancing in a leveraged environment
- A commercial and operational mindset, ideally from a capital intensive business.
- Genuinely hands on and comfortable moving between board level conversations and the detail of operational contracts and costs
- Personable, collaborative and able to explain finance clearly to non finance stakeholders
