Fractional CFO

Recently Funded | Pre Revenue | Build, Scale & Shape

1 to 2 Days Per Week | UK / Remote

£800 to £1,200 per day

Come and be part of an incredible idea at the point where it starts to become a real business.

We Do Group are partnering with a recently funded, pre revenue technology business to appoint a Fractional CFO.

The idea is brilliant.

The technology has been built.

Investment has recently landed.

Now it's time to build and scale.

The business is using technology and automation to completely simplify how consumers recover compensation when travel is disrupted.

The opportunity is huge, but getting from a great idea and working product to a scalable, investable and properly controlled business requires the right financial infrastructure around it.

That's where you come in.

Working directly alongside the Founder for approximately 1 to 2 days per week, you'll become a key part of the journey from pre revenue start up to scaled business.

And this isn't a fractional CFO role where you turn up once a month, review the management accounts and disappear.

You'll help build it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within Fintech, Payments, Financial Services, Insurtech, Claims, Consumer Finance or another regulated technology environment would be particularly interesting.

FCA, payment services, client money or safeguarding experience would be hugely valuable.

You might already have a portfolio of fractional roles.

You might have built and exited businesses.

Or you might be between CFO roles and fancy getting your teeth into something genuinely entrepreneurial.

What matters is that you can sit alongside a Founder and bring the experience, commercial judgement and calmness to say:

"Here's what matters. Here's what we need to build. And here's how we're going to scale it."

This is a chance to get involved right at the beginning.

Not once everything has already been built.

Not once all the big decisions have been made.

Now.

Come in. Help build the foundations. Help shape the model. Help raise the next round. Help turn an incredible idea into a scalable business.
