Role Overview
My client has an established family office and is now looking to hire a CFO/Head of Family Office to continue running the family office. The family is multi-jurisdictional and has an investment portfolio which the current CFO/Head of Family Office manages through management analysis and reporting. The portfolio is invested and is set up to create long-term returns with a mixture of investments.
Key Responsibilities
The new Head of Family Office will have a broad role overseeing and handling all projects relating to the family and their needs. This hire will require a strong understanding of finance and accounting and will have a lot of administration to oversee due to the number of positions that the family hold in different charities. They also have a number of homes, tax issues that relate to these homes and tax returns that need filing in different countries. This individual will also need to build a relationship with the children who are based offshore.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
