The LSL Group is supporting an established and highly respected professional organisation in the appointment of a Chief Growth Officer.
This is a newly created Executive Leadership Team position with a clear mandate: to accelerate commercial growth, develop new markets and propositions, and shape the organisation's future business model.
The organisation has a substantial individual and corporate customer base, a well-established portfolio of professional products and services, and significant potential to extend its reach and commercial impact.
This is not a role simply to manage an existing commercial operation. It is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven leader to build the next phase of growth.
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Growth Officer will lead a significant portfolio spanning:
- Professional recognition and development
- Qualifications and professional products
- Business development and corporate relationships
- Customer growth, engagement and retention
- Product development and innovation
- Marketing and commercial activity
- New products, services and revenue streams
The successful candidate will develop and deliver an ambitious growth strategy across individual and corporate markets, identifying new customer segments, markets, partnerships and routes to revenue.
A major focus will be on creating a more integrated, customer-led approach to product development, marketing, business development and commercial performance, ensuring that products and services respond to customer needs and deliver measurable financial and customer value.
The organisation is also investing in innovation and new technology-enabled propositions, creating opportunities to develop new products and commercial models.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Crucially, you will combine strategic thinking with commercial delivery. You will be comfortable challenging established assumptions, working with incomplete information and leading through significant organisational change.
You will also be an outstanding communicator and relationship builder, able to operate credibly with Boards, senior executives, customers and external partners.
Experience within a professional membership organisation, awarding body, learned society or not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
