Interim Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) - Contract
Location: London/Hybrid - Insurance
Outside IR35
Our client, a well-established player in the insurance sector, is looking for an experienced, immediately available Interim CISO to take the reins of their cyber security function during a pivotal period of security uplift and risk maturity.
This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned security leader who's comfortable operating in complex, heavily regulated, data-rich environments. Background gained Financial Services or comparable regulated sectors would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will own and elevate the organisation's cyber security capability across operational security, governance, risk, assurance, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. The business runs a managed SOC model, so you'll be expected to get maximum value from existing security operations while driving meaningful strategic improvement across the wider function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
