The company's flagship product is the Payments Expert Agent, an AI solution purpose-built for the full payments modernization software development lifecycle. From requirements analysis through development, testing, and deployment.
It’s trained on the company's decades of delivery expertise and more than 30,000 curated payments documents. Certified to SOC 2 Type II, the Payments Expert Agent deploys inside the bank's environment and enables modernization teams deliver complex programs faster, at lower cost, and to a higher standard.
In parallel, RedCompass Labs helps banks detect financial crime hidden within payment flows. The RedFlag Accelerator is a global reference for detecting modern slavery, human trafficking, child sexual exploitation, elder abuse, drug trafficking, scams, and authorized push payment fraud. It combines a persona-oriented detection approach with red flags, crime models, and open-source intelligence. The Financial Crime Unit delivers practitioner-grade intelligence and scoring models that support live investigations and law enforcement action.

Mission
Security is no longer a support function. It is a strategic enabler.
As Chief Information Security Officer, you will shape and lead the security, governance, privacy, and AI risk strategy of RedCompass Labs during a period of significant growth and innovation.
You will own the security posture of both our internal operations and the cloud environments supporting our AI-powered products. Working directly with the CEO, Board, executive leadership team, and product organisation, you will ensure that security enables innovation rather than slowing it down.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced security leader to influence company strategy, guide AI governance, strengthen client trust, and build a high-performing security function from the ground up.

As Chief Information Security Officer, you will:
Strategic Security Leadership
- Define and execute the company's security strategy, roadmap, and governance framework.
- Act as the executive owner of information security, AI security, IT governance, privacy, and risk management.
- Advise the CEO and Board on security posture, emerging risks, compliance, and strategic investments.
Infrastructure & Cloud Security
- Own the security of RedCompass Labs' cloud and infrastructure landscape across Azure, AWS, RunPod, Microsoft 365, and Entra.
- Lead vulnerability management, access governance, incident response, and security monitoring.
- Ensure security controls scale alongside business and product growth.
AI Security & Governance
- Drive governance and security standards across our growing portfolio of AI products and AI agents.
- Build frameworks addressing emerging AI risks including prompt injection, model security, data leakage, agent governance, and access control.
- Lead the organisation's AI governance journey, including ISO/IEC 42001 readiness.
Compliance, Privacy & Client Assurance
- Maintain and evolve our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 programmes.
- Ensure continuous audit readiness and strong operational controls.
- Own client security assurance activities, due diligence, and security reviews.
- Embed GDPR and privacy-by-design principles across the organisation.
Building the Function
- Develop and scale the security organisation beyond current operational dependencies.
- Create pragmatic governance processes that support innovation and product delivery.
- Foster a strong security culture across the business.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a pragmatic and commercially-minded security leader who can operate comfortably at Board level while remaining close to technology, infrastructure, and modern AI environments.
Essential Experience
- 8+ years of senior information security leadership experience.
- Experience reporting to executive leadership, Boards, or equivalent governance bodies.
- Proven ownership of enterprise security, cloud infrastructure, and risk management functions.
- Deep understanding of modern cloud environments, including Azure and AWS.
- Experience leading ISO 27001 and SOC 2 programmes as the accountable owner.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, and modern privacy practices.
- Ability to balance security, innovation, commercial priorities, and growth.

Highly Desirable
- Experience within fintech, banking, payments, financial crime, or regulated industries.
- Exposure to AI governance, AI security, and emerging regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 42001, DORA, NIS2, or related frameworks.
- Experience building or transforming security functions in scaling businesses.
