Role Overview
The Chief Marketing Officer will define and lead the global marketing, brand and communications strategy for H&MV Engineering. In this role the CMO will elevate H&MV’s brand reputation across international markets, position the company as the partner of choice in high-voltage engineering (data centers, renewables & utilities), and build a world-class marketing function that directly supports commercial growth, talent attraction and the company’s expansion agenda. The key to this role is understanding H&MV Engineering’s unique culture, and in particular its can do entrepreneurial roots, and convert that into a down to earth but compelling global message.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a global marketing, brand, PR and communications strategy aligned to H&MV’s growth ambitions and sector priorities.
- Contributing to overall business strategy and commercial decision-making.
- Build, mentor and scale a high-performing, multi-region marketing team, embedding a culture of creativity, accountability and measurable impact.

Brand & Reputation
- Protect and enhance the H&MV brand globally, ensuring consistency across all markets, group companies and acquired businesses.
- Lead corporate communications, PR, thought leadership and executive positioning to strengthen H&MV’s reputation with clients, partners and industry bodies.
- Champion the company’s ESG, safety and sustainability narrative, including progress toward Net Zero by 2045.
Commercial & Growth Marketing
- Partner with business development and operations to generate demand, support bids, and win work across data center, renewables and utility sectors.
- Drive account-based and sector-led marketing programmes targeting hyperscale, developer and TSO/DNO clients internationally.
- Support the marketing integration of acquisitions and new market entries, including continued expansion in the United States.
Digital, Content & Employer Brand
- Own the digital marketing ecosystem – website, LinkedIn and social channels, SEO, campaigns and analytics – to grow reach and engagement.
- Partner with People/HR to strengthen the employer brand and support attraction and retention of engineering and technical talent globally.
- Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and ROI measurements across all marketing activities.
Candidate Profile – Essential
- Proven senior marketing leadership experience (CMO, VP or Marketing Director level) within a global, project-led B2B environment.
- Track record in engineering, construction, energy, infrastructure, data centers or a comparable technical / industrial sector.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale marketing functions across multiple international markets.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience linking marketing directly to business development, bids and revenue growth.
- Expertise in brand strategy, corporate communications, digital marketing and thought leadership.
- Excellent executive-level communication, stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- Relevant third-level qualification in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.

Candidate Profile – Desirable
- Experience supporting M&A integration and marketing within a private-equity-backed, high-growth business.
- Exposure to ESG, sustainability and safety-led communications.
- Experience marketing to hyperscale data centers, renewable energy developers or utility (TSO/DNO) clients.
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA) or professional marketing accreditation.
