Chief Marketing Officer

Our client, a successful tech scale-up and cash generative SME, with a £10m turnover and employing 100 staff, is looking to double in size in the next five years under the guidance of its experienced, highly charismatic and driven Founder and Executive Team.

Their B2C Health & Fitness platform provides individualized coaching to deliver cutting-edge support for nutrition, exercise and lifestyle improvement. This is backed by a physical product range incorporating protein supplements, clothing and accessories, totalling 50 SKUs. To date, the company has built a strong acquisition engine driven by organic content, paid social and significant monthly media spend.

They now seek to appoint a Chief Marketing Officer to own the organization’s brand strategy across their revenue streams incorporating a weight loss subscription app, manufacturing facility and physical product range, responsible for scaling performance across every channel.

Responsibilities

Your specific responsibilities as Chief Marketing Officer will include:

  • Reporting directly to the founder to build an integrated brand & marketing strategy across all functions of the business
  • Driving growth across wholesale, trade, retail B2B, D2C and ecommerce
  • Owning brand positioning, tone of voice and creative direction
  • Managing a £1m marketing budget
  • Acting as the lead on go-to-market for every new app feature, product launch and campaign
  • Growing the Marketing Team to build out a full stack marketing solution
  • Diversifying from socials and Meta, developing non-digital marketing channels including PR, print media, TV, Radio and podcasts
  • Introducing new brand guidelines, geared towards lifestyle
  • Building trade marketing assets and campaigns to support supermarket, health food shop, warehouse club retail store and gym clients
  • Developing joint promotions with sporting clubs
  • Owning performance marketing across paid social, paid search and affiliate programmes
  • Driving content, influencer and community strategy
  • Running CRM, email and lifecycle marketing
  • Adapting brand and campaign strategy for international markets
  • Driving app store optimization, onboarding and free-to-paid conversion
  • Leading on retention and churn reduction
  • Partnering with product and tech teams to align suitable features
  • Integrating app and subscription messaging within the wider brand
  • Managing agency, freelance and technology partnerships
  • Monthly board reporting

As Chief Marketing Officer you will need experience of:
