Chief Marketing Officer
Location: London
Company: Confidential International B2B Technology Business
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
The Opportunity
A fast-growing international technology business operating across the unattended retail, vending and payments ecosystem is seeking a commercially driven Chief Marketing Officer to lead its global marketing strategy.
This is a senior leadership position for an energetic, confident, and highly practical marketing leader. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a genuine willingness to remain hands-on—leading the team while personally driving important campaigns, projects, events, and client communications.
The role is based in London. Candidates must already be London-based or willing to relocate to London within 12 months.
The Role
The Chief Marketing Officer will take ownership of the company’s marketing strategy, positioning, communications, and brand development. Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, they will help strengthen the company’s market presence, improve engagement with B2B customers, and support international commercial growth.
This is not a purely corporate or delegation-focused role. The CMO will be expected to roll up their sleeves, contribute directly to projects, and bring pace, visibility, and personal energy to the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an effective international B2B marketing strategy aligned with the company’s commercial objectives.
- Strengthen the company’s positioning within the vending, unattended retail, payments, or wider technology ecosystem.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the marketing team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day delivery.
- Create compelling B2B communications for customers, commercial partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Build campaigns that generate awareness, engagement, qualified opportunities, and measurable commercial results.
- Lead the company’s presence at exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
- Represent the business confidently in front of clients, partners, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Manage multiple marketing initiatives and cross-functional projects from concept through to delivery.
- Work closely with sales teams to develop effective customer materials, presentations, campaigns, and lead-generation programs.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality messaging across digital channels, events, client communications, and corporate materials.
- Introduce and embed AI-enabled tools across marketing processes, content creation, research, campaign management, and performance analysis.
- Use data and commercial insight to evaluate marketing activity and improve return on investment.
- Bring new ideas, challenge established ways of working, and create a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
