Chief Marketing Officer

Belfast | Competitive salary and benefits

TeamFeePay (TFP) is one of the biggest grassroots football club management platforms in the UK. We support over 2,000 football clubs and 250,000+ coaches, players, parents and guardians on the platform, and we're now expanding into Italy, Spain and the rest of Europe. We're a scale-up growing rapidly, and marketing is core to that growth.

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Chief Marketing Officer to join our executive leadership team and own the marketing agenda across the business. With an existing marketing team of five, you will manage that team and report directly to the CEO. You will set the marketing vision and strategy, build and lead the marketing function, and be directly accountable for the brand growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion that underpins TFP's growth across the UK and Europe. This role owns the marketing strategy and investment case end-to-end: aligning it with company objectives, accelerating our growth in European SaaS markets, and representing marketing at board level.

About Our Marketing Function

As a member of the executive team, you'll work closely with the CRO, CFO, and fellow leadership across Sales, Product, and Customer Success, and you'll represent marketing directly to the Board, so this role sits at the centre of how TFP grows across our UK and European markets.

Your day-to-day

Marketing Strategy & Executive Leadership

  • Own and evolve the company's overall marketing strategy, with a clear roadmap for scaling brand and demand generation across UK and European SaaS markets.
  • Sit on the executive leadership team, shaping and reporting on marketing's contribution to company strategy, revenue growth, and Board-level decision-making.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing organisation across brand, content, digital, product marketing, and partnership marketing.
  • Own the marketing budget and P&L contribution, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels, including investment in European market entry and expansion activity.

Demand Generation & Growth

  • Set the strategy for and oversee qualified pipeline generation through multi-channel campaigns (e.g., paid media, SEO, email, events), tailored to local market nuances across UK, Ireland, and other European markets, starting with Spain and Italy.
  • Partner with the Sales leadership team to align on lead quality, funnel metrics, and conversion strategies across all European markets.
  • Own the marketing contribution to growth within our existing club base, working alongside the Head of Customer Experience to deliver measurable improvements in net revenue retention and churn.
  • Oversee marketing automation and lead nurturing strategy to support efficient, scalable SaaS growth.

Brand & Positioning

  • Own and evolve the brand identity, messaging, and value proposition at a company level, ensuring relevance and resonance across diverse European markets and cultures.
  • Ensure consistent brand presence across all touchpoints, including website, social media, and collateral.
  • Act as a company spokesperson, leading PR, communications, and thought leadership initiatives that build credibility and visibility in the European SaaS and sports-tech space.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
