Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Co-Founder

eXact Digital is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Co-Founder to take ownership of our marketing and help turn an already-operating hosting business into a rapidly growing brand.

About eXact Digital

eXact Digital is a hosting company focused on combining extreme affordability with enterprise-grade infrastructure and service quality. We already have an established platform, products, infrastructure, and an initial customer base. Our biggest limitation today isn't the product — it's marketing and customer acquisition. That's where you come in.

Your Role

As our CMO and co-founder, you will take ownership of the marketing side of the company while the CEO focuses on operations, infrastructure, product development, finance, and the rest of the business. Especially during the early stages, this will be a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who is comfortable developing the strategy while also executing it.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and executing our overall digital marketing strategy
  • Planning and managing performance marketing campaigns
  • Developing customer acquisition and conversion strategies
  • Managing and improving SEO, including SEO automation
  • Writing and optimizing marketing copy
  • Improving landing pages, offers, and conversion funnels
  • Identifying new marketing channels and growth opportunities
  • Building brand awareness within the hosting/VPS market
  • Tracking marketing performance and continuously improving results

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

As the company grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated marketing team rather than handling everything yourself.

How We Work

This is a fully remote and highly flexible position. We don't care what hours you work or where you work from. What matters is that agreed objectives are completed and that marketing efforts translate into measurable growth. We are looking for someone who thinks like an owner rather than an employee — someone who wants to experiment, move quickly, measure results, and help shape the direction of the company.

Important: Equity-Only Co-Founder Position

This is initially an equity-only position and does not include a monetary salary. eXact Digital is still an early-stage business with limited funding and revenue. You would therefore be joining as a co-founder with a meaningful equity stake, with the exact percentage negotiable based on experience, involvement, and responsibilities. The intention is for compensation to evolve as the company's revenue and financial position grow. This opportunity is best suited to someone who wants to build a company rather than simply work for one and who sees the potential upside of helping grow a hosting business from an early stage.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in people who:

  • Understand digital and performance marketing
  • Are strongly focused on measurable results
  • Can work independently without constant supervision
  • Enjoy testing new ideas and marketing channels
  • Understand SEO, conversion optimization, and customer acquisition
  • Are comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment
  • Want significant influence over the company they are helping build

Experience in web hosting, VPS, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or other technology businesses is a major advantage, but not an absolute requirement.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your marketing decisions can directly influence the growth of an entire company — we'd love to hear from you.
