Chief Marketing Officer
Mode is proud to be partnering with an exciting, fast-growing contemporary luxury accessories brand in the search for an exceptional Chief Marketing Officer to lead its global brand, marketing, communications and customer strategy.
This is a pivotal executive leadership opportunity within a purpose-driven London-based business recognised for distinctive design, exceptional craftsmanship and a modern approach to luxury. With a growing international customer base and ambitious plans for its next phase of development, the business is seeking a CMO who can translate a compelling creative vision into enduring brand equity and sustainable commercial growth.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working in close partnership with the Founder and senior leadership team, the CMO will have significant influence over the strategic direction of the business. They will define how the brand shows up globally, deepen its relationship with customers and build the marketing organisation and capabilities required for international scale. The successful candidate will combine exceptional luxury brand judgement with commercial rigour, bringing together brand building, customer acquisition and retention, communications, digital, content and cultural relevance within one cohesive global strategy.
The Role
As Chief Marketing Officer, you will:
- Define and lead the global brand, marketing and customer strategy, ensuring it directly supports the company's long-term commercial ambitions.
- Partner with the Founder, Managing Director and leadership team to define the brand's next chapter, translating its creative vision and purpose into a clear global positioning and growth strategy.
- Build long-term brand equity, desirability and cultural relevance while ensuring marketing investment contributes to measurable customer and revenue growth.
- Establish a distinctive and consistent global brand identity across every customer touchpoint, from campaigns and digital platforms to retail, wholesale, partnerships, packaging and experiences.
- Set the strategic and creative standard for global campaigns, photography, content, storytelling and brand communications.
- Lead an integrated marketing ecosystem spanning brand, creative, PR and communications, social media, content, influencer and talent partnerships, digital marketing, CRM, customer engagement and brand activations.
- Develop a sophisticated global customer strategy, using behavioural insight, customer data and market intelligence to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, loyalty and lifetime value.
- Build an effective balance between brand-building and performance marketing, ensuring short-term commercial objectives strengthen rather than dilute long-term brand equity.
- Identify priority markets, audiences and cultural opportunities that can accelerate international growth while preserving the integrity and exclusivity of the brand.
- Partner closely with Product, E-commerce, Retail, Wholesale and Operations to create a seamless, elevated and commercially effective customer experience.
- Own the global marketing budget and investment strategy, establishing clear KPIs, measurement frameworks and accountability for performance and ROI.
- Use customer insight, cultural intelligence, competitive analysis and commercial data to inform strategic decisions and identify emerging growth opportunities.
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary organisation across Creative, Design, Brand Marketing, PR & Communications, Social, Content and Brand Activations, while evolving the structure and capabilities required for future growth.
- Build and manage a world-class external ecosystem of agencies, creative partners, media, talent, influencers and cultural collaborators.
- Represent the customer and the brand at executive level, ensuring both are central to commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Champion innovation across the marketing organisation, including the thoughtful application of AI, emerging technologies and new creative tools to enhance creativity, customer insight, productivity and marketing effectiveness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
