Chief Marketing Officer | B2B SaaS & Technology
United Kingdom (Remote)
About the Company
We’re partnered with a fast-growing international B2B SaaS business on the search for a Chief Marketing Officer to help build the marketing engine behind its next phase of growth.
The business has developed a highly differentiated technology platform, works with major enterprise customers and partners internationally, and has ambitious plans to scale significantly over the coming years.
This is a business at an exciting inflection point. The product and commercial foundations are in place, and the opportunity now is to build a sophisticated, scalable marketing capability that can accelerate growth and create a predictable pipeline of new business.
About the Role
This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially-minded CMO or senior B2B SaaS marketing leader who combines deep demand generation expertise with strong positioning, content, and product marketing capability. This is not primarily a traditional brand-building role.
The focus is on building a world-class B2B growth engine: understanding the customer, sharpening the proposition, generating high-quality enterprise demand, and creating a clear link between marketing investment, pipeline, and revenue.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and wider commercial leadership team, taking a strong technology proposition and turning it into compelling customer stories, effective campaigns, and measurable commercial growth.
The role owns marketing end-to-end, spanning demand generation, growth, brand, content, product marketing, and go-to-market.
The Opportunity
The core mission is to build a sophisticated, scalable marketing capability that can support the business through its next stage of international growth.
You’ll lead across:
- Demand generation and pipeline creation
- Inbound and outbound marketing
- Account-based marketing and enterprise acquisition
- SEO, content, organic, and paid acquisition
- Growth experimentation and conversion optimization
- Positioning, messaging, and category development
- Content and thought leadership
- Product marketing and go-to-market

- Marketing attribution, automation, and CRM
- Customer marketing and retention
- Building the marketing team, systems, and capabilities required for scale

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Marketing will be measured against commercial outcomes, including pipeline generated and influenced, conversion, customer acquisition cost, and contribution to recurring revenue.
This is an opportunity to build rather than simply inherit a finished function. You’ll have the autonomy to test, learn, challenge existing thinking, identify what genuinely drives demand, and build the team and playbook around what works.
About You
We’re looking for an exceptional B2B SaaS marketing leader with a strong bias towards growth, demand generation, and commercial outcomes.
You may currently be a CMO, VP Marketing, Marketing Director, or senior growth leader ready to take broader ownership.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Significant senior marketing experience within B2B SaaS or technology
- A strong track record of building demand generation engines that deliver qualified pipeline and revenue
- Experience across both inbound and outbound marketing
- Strong knowledge of ABM and enterprise customer acquisition
- Experience using content, SEO, paid, and organic channels to create demand
- A highly analytical and experimental approach to growth and funnel optimization
- Strong understanding of pipeline, conversion, CAC, payback, and recurring revenue metrics
- Experience marketing complex products to enterprise customers
- Experience working with longer, multi-stakeholder B2B sales cycles
- Strong positioning, messaging, and storytelling capability
- Experience taking new products and propositions to market
- The ability to translate complex technology into clear, compelling customer value
- Experience building high-performing marketing teams, systems, and processes
- A track record of working closely with Sales and wider commercial teams
- The ability to combine strategic thinking with a willingness to get into the detail

The brief calls for someone who can combine measurable demand generation with excellent communication and storytelling, while being comfortable building the function as the business scales.
We’re particularly interested in people who have operated within high-growth B2B SaaS businesses and understand what it takes to move from an early-stage marketing operation towards a more sophisticated and predictable growth engine.
You’ll also need to be naturally curious. We’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to understand customers: what matters to them, what problems they are trying to solve, and what will make them engage. You’ll enjoy experimenting, challenging assumptions, and continually improving how the business goes to market.
