Help shape the future of UK manufacturing innovation as our Chief of Staff (maternity cover)

Location: Home-based with regular travel to London and other UK locations as required
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Salary: Competitive
Closing date: 14th August 2026

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to cover a period of maternity leave, working directly alongside our Chief Executive Officer. This is a highly influential role playing a pivotal role within the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. As Chief of Staff, you will act as a force multiplier for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable results, organisational alignment is achieved, and decision-making is effective, timely and focused on delivering impact for our customers, funders and partners.

What you'll bring:

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent judgement, strong commercial awareness and an ability to operate effectively in complex and sometimes ambiguous environments. You will be equally comfortable discussing long-term organisational strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, facilitating difficult conversations and driving operational delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
