Chief of Staff, Pagelove
£70,000 + EMI share options · Full-time, Permanent · Remote
Help build the web infrastructure for the AI era, from the ground up.
Pagelove is a revolutionary new way of building websites and applications; allowing customers to do so faster, more simply and with a better outcome. A small idea has now grown into a seed funded business with an international base, and is ready to move to paying customers. Our technology removes the need for databases, API layers, and backend code, with AI tools and developers building on our platform efficiently and effectively at scale.
Our founders have a successful track record of building and scaling infrastructure at Joyent (Node.js), Google, Equinix, Spotify and Monzo. As part of this growth and our evolution, we are looking for a critical hire to guide and build our operational capability.
The Role
You'll report to James Duncan, Co-Founder & CEO, and work closely with all three founders. One moment you might be supporting with the organisation of an international away day or establishing our operational framework, in the next you might set up a US subsidiary. After lunch you could be unblocking a product delivery conversation and building your tech knowledge. It’s the variety, pace, multi-faceted capability and required adaptability that makes this role so critical, and so exciting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll own:
- Special projects: setting up a US entity, choosing and negotiating with vendors, scoping new markets, researching compliance
- Founder support: calendars, travel, away days, and the logistics that keep the founders focused
- Legal and compliance: acting as point of contact for lawyers, insurers and advisors, and getting IP assignments, service agreements and sponsor licence applications over the line
- Fundraising operations: the data room, investor updates, due diligence and the cap table, plus sitting in on investor conversations
- Hiring operations: job postings, candidate pipelines, interview scheduling and the ATS
- Finance and admin: accountants, HMRC, Companies House and suppliers
- Internal tooling: running and improving our kanban, dashboards and workflows, all built on Pagelove itself
- Cross-team delivery: coordinating, chasing and unblocking work across product, engineering and marketing
