Chief of Staff – Strategy & Transformation
Join the institutional arm of a global fintech business operating at significant scale across international capital markets. This is a high-impact role working closely with the CEO to turn strategy into execution, accelerate growth and shape how the business scales.
Role Overview
- Location: London – hybrid, 3–4 days in the office
- Package: Up to £140,000 basic + bonus
- Industry: Fintech / Capital Markets / Prime Services
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to turn strategic priorities into clear, executable plans.
- Lead high-profile initiatives spanning growth, new product launches and business transformation.
- Own complex programmes from initial thinking and business case development through to implementation and measurable outcomes.
- Use market analysis, competitor insight, financial modelling and commercial data to support strategic decisions.
- Bring together product, technology, sales, legal and operations teams around shared priorities and delivery plans.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and structural challenges, then lead improvements that enable the business to scale effectively.
- Ensure product and technology roadmaps remain aligned with wider commercial goals and key dependencies.
- Partner with sales leadership on go-to-market plans, client coverage and opportunities to accelerate revenue growth.
- Build dashboards and performance frameworks that give leadership clear visibility of commercial KPIs and delivery.
- Establish effective governance across major initiatives, proactively managing risks, escalations and accountability.
- Coordinate annual and quarterly business planning, ensuring senior leaders have the analysis needed to make informed decisions.
- Produce concise, high-quality strategic materials for executive, Board and investor-level audiences.
- Support leadership meetings and offsites, ensuring decisions translate into action.
- Build strong relationships across the wider organisation to secure resources and support for key priorities.

Main Skills Needed
- Around 3–6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a strong strategy consulting background at Manager level or equivalent.
- Experience within a leading strategy consultancy is highly desirable.
- Capital markets experience is essential, whether gained in consulting or directly within industry.
- Exposure to prime brokerage, prime services or related institutional financial markets would be particularly valuable.
- Strong track record across both strategy development and hands-on transformation delivery.
- Experience owning complex, cross-functional programmes involving senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, including financial modelling, business cases and performance analysis.
- Confidence working across commercial, operational, product and technology functions.
- Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and produce clear recommendations.
- Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and challenging established ways of working.
- Able to operate autonomously, prioritise effectively and maintain momentum in an ambitious, fast-moving environment.
- Genuine interest in moving beyond advisory work into implementation, ownership and broader business leadership.
