Chief Operating Officer - London Hybrid
Take ownership of the entire operating model at a fast-scaling, tech-enabled services business that's redefining its industry.
This isn't inheriting someone else's playbook. You'd own the operating model end to end, from delivery through to the technology and support functions underneath it, with real authority to shape how the business runs day to day. The business is entering a genuinely exciting growth phase, with real investment behind where it's heading next.
The interesting technical challenge? Where AI and automation actually change the economics of an operation, not just where they sound good in a strategy deck. You'll be the one deciding where those levers get pulled, backed by a business that's already serious about digital transformation, not just talking about it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- Senior operational leadership at Operations Director, COO or equivalent level within a complex, multi-site operation.
- Ideally from logistics, distribution, field services or retail — sectors further ahead on digital transformation.
- Genuinely comfortable with architecture and automation, not hands-on engineering.
- A track record of developing people, not just managing them.
- If you're an Operations Director ready to make the step up into your first COO seat, that's just as relevant as someone already carrying the title.
