Company Description
Healistic is a leading healthtech platform that streamlines private prescription issuance, management, and fulfilment for clinicians and patients across the UK. Its secure, efficient technology enables healthcare professionals to prescribe medications in seconds, with orders fulfilled through a nationwide network of trusted pharmacy partners and delivered to patients’ homes within hours. The platform connects clinics, pharmacies, and patients through robust digital infrastructure designed to reduce prescribing and dispensing errors, improve workflow efficiency, and support safer, more transparent private healthcare. By automating and standardising key processes, Healistic saves clinicians time while improving the quality and consistency of patient care. Healistic’s commitment to clinical excellence and innovation is recognised by major industry awards, and the platform now supports more than 1,000 clinics nationwide.
Role Description
We are looking for a Head of Operations to own the execution of everything Healistic promises, from the moment an order reaches a pharmacy to the moment a patient is supported after delivery. Our retention depends on it. Doctors and patients stay with us when orders are fast, correct, and reliable, and they leave when they are not. Because the pharmacies fulfilling those orders are independent partners, the core of this job is designing the processes, incentives, and operating models that make a network of separate businesses behave consistently and perform to our standard, without us standing over every one of them.
You will build the operational engine and the playbook that lets it scale: a near-franchise model that onboards new pharmacies, sets them up to succeed inside our structure, and automates as much of their path to good performance as possible. You will manage the success of around 100 pharmacy partners today, and design the system that lets that number grow without quality slipping.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a builder's role for someone who sees a messy, human, multi-party operation and is energised, not daunted, by the challenge of bringing it under control.
Qualifications
- A proven operations leader. You have run complex, high-velocity operations where reliability and speed directly affected whether customers stayed.
- Experienced managing a network you do not fully control. You have got consistent performance out of franchisees, partners, branches, contractors, or a marketplace of independent operators, through systems and incentives rather than direct authority.
- A systems builder. You turn messy, ad-hoc operations into repeatable, documented, and where possible automated processes. You have built playbooks that others can run.
- Commercially sharp. You negotiate strong supplier and partner agreements and understand the economics of what you are running.
- Data-driven. You live in KPIs, SLAs, and dashboards, and you use them to find and fix problems before they cost you customers.
- Calm and reactive under pressure. When something breaks, you are the person who has already designed the process for handling it.
- Fluent in the human element. You understand that consistent execution across independent people is won through clear standards, the right incentives, good training, and accountability, and you know how to design all four.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and happy to build the machine while it is running.
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, medical logistics, or another regulated supply chain
- Experience in franchise, multi-site, or partner-network operations
- Experience in last-mile delivery, q-commerce, or marketplace operations
- Working knowledge of pharmacy regulation, controlled-drug handling, and cold-chain requirements

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- Retention through execution. Be directly accountable for the operational performance that drives churn: fulfilment speed, reliability, accuracy, and the patient experience end to end.
- End-to-end process design. Design and continuously improve the operational flow from pharmacy acceptance and dispensing, through logistics and delivery, to patient and customer support.
- The pharmacy network. Own the success of around 100 pharmacy partners: their onboarding, their performance, and the standards they operate to. Design the SLAs, incentives, and operating models that make them behave the way the network needs.
- The onboarding playbook. Build a scalable, repeatable, near-franchise model to bring on new pharmacies, get them productive fast, and automate the path to strong, consistent performance.
- Supply and procurement. Negotiate and manage framework purchasing agreements with wholesalers, improving pricing, availability, and reliability of supply across the network.
- Logistics partnerships. Build and manage relationships with delivery and logistics partners, including the demands of cold-chain and controlled-drug handling.
- Performance management and data. Stand up the KPIs, SLAs, and dashboards that show how every pharmacy and partner is performing, and the reactive processes that catch and fix problems fast.
- Quality and reliability. Own operational quality and reliability in a regulated, safety-critical environment.
- The operations team. Build and lead the pharmacy success, support, and operations team over time.
Why join:
- A genuine build role: scale and optimise the operating model and playbook
- Real equity and a bonus tied to outcomes you directly control
- A strong existing data foundation to measure and manage performance
- Early enough that how you build operations shapes the whole company
