About Wealthify
Wealthify is a digital wealth management platform, based in Cardiff, with a mission to make it really simple for people to invest with confidence.
Founded in 2016 to address the needs of a new generation of investors, Wealthify blends digital technology, expert investment management and close attention to our customers to make wealth creation more accessible.
Wealthify offers a range of investment accounts (Stocks & Shares ISA, Junior ISA (JISA), General Investment Account (GIA), Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP)) and savings accounts (Cash ISA, Instant Access Savings Account (IASA)) to give customers a range of ways to manage and grow their money.
With a proprietary technology platform, a seasoned and passionate team of experts, and a substantial base of customers and assets under management, Wealthify is now growing towards profitability under the ownership of Aviva plc, after successfully establishing itself as a digital disruptor in this huge market. This focus represents a challenge and an opportunity for the incoming Chief Operating Officer, who will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward, maintaining compliance and shaping its culture.
The role
As Chief Operating Officer at Wealthify, you will be responsible for leading the teams that serve the company’s customers, safeguard their money and ensure that it operates in compliance with the complex regulations that govern this market. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage and lead several teams that collectively form the core of Wealthify’s business:
- Customer Support: This is the award-winning team that helps customers when they contact Wealthify with questions or problems, helping them to get started with us and to transfer funds onto or off the platform. The team delivers outstanding NPS with a combination of a best-in-class, automated contact management and easy access to our support teams.
- Operations & Platform Oversight: This team manages the movement of money on and off the company’s newly launched internal platform (transfers, deposits and withdrawals) and the efficient and accurate trading of funds required to manage our investment portfolios effectively.
- Financial Crime: This team is responsible for protecting our customers and platform from all forms of criminal activity, including fraud, money-laundering and account takeovers. They work with key partners against a backdrop of fast-changing criminal threats and tactics to perpetrate fraud.
- Compliance and Governance: This team is led by our Head of Governance (an SMF16 role under the SM&CR regime), to ensure that our day-to-day business activities remain compliant with constantly evolving regulation. The team is also responsible for managing our regular audits and certifications, and for engaging with regulators when required.
- CASS: This specialist team makes sure that our customers’ money is carefully segregated and safeguarded so that each customer has the correct balance each day, and for fixing errors quickly if they occur.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
