About Us
No More Waste Technologies is a social impact startup on a mission to fight food waste and hunger with technology. Our marketplace platform connects surplus food from merchants with charities, food banks, and individuals in need.
We’re currently building our MVP for a pilot project in Manchester and we need a passionate “hands-on” leader in product management with a strong UX and user-centred mindset to help us shape an app that’s simple, intuitive and life-changing.
The Role
As our Chief Product Officer (CPO), reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the primary architect of our product vision and long-term strategy while remaining deeply connected to tactical execution. You will lead the evolution of our platform from MVP to a multi-stakeholder ecosystem, ensuring our technology serves as a powerful catalyst for social impact. This is a unique executive leadership position that requires a "player-coach" mentality, balancing high-level alignment of product innovation with our core business objectives, while actively diving into the details of marketplace scaling and fostering a culture of excellence across our engineering and design teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
