This role requires relocation to Dubai

We are partnering with an early-stage fintech business in Dubai to appoint a Chief Product & Technology Officer to its senior leadership team.

Operating at the intersection of capital markets, digital assets and blockchain technology, the business is developing the infrastructure required to bring traditional financial products into a more programmable, efficient and digitally-native environment.

This is a highly entrepreneurial leadership role for someone who can operate across product, technology and financial markets. Rather than simply managing an existing engineering function, the successful candidate will play a central role in deciding what the company builds, how the technology evolves and how its product strategy responds to the needs of institutional customers. We’re looking for someone who can comfortably move between a conversation about financial products and capital flows in the morning and architecture, smart contracts and engineering priorities in the afternoon.

The Role

As CPTO, you will take ownership of the company’s product and technology direction, working directly with the founders and leadership team. You will be responsible for taking complex financial-market requirements and turning them into products and technology that can operate securely at institutional scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your remit will include:

  • Setting the overall product and technology vision, priorities and roadmap.
  • Designing scalable architecture for regulated, institutional-grade financial products.
  • Leading the development of blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure and associated platform capabilities.
  • Translating commercial and financial requirements into clear specifications for engineering teams.
  • Making key architectural decisions across areas such as smart contracts, security, data, custody, compliance and third-party infrastructure.
  • Establishing the engineering standards, processes and controls required for technology handling financial assets.
  • Working closely with commercial, finance and product stakeholders to ensure technology decisions ultimately support the way capital moves through the platform.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates who have operated at the intersection of capital markets and blockchain technology.

You are likely to have:

  • Significant experience within capital markets, fintech or institutional financial technology.
  • Strong knowledge of financial-product infrastructure and the lifecycle of investment products.
  • A practical understanding of areas such as settlement, custody, valuations/NAV, liquidity and redemptions.
  • Direct experience building or leading the development of blockchain-based financial products or infrastructure.
  • Exposure to smart contracts, tokenized assets, lending infrastructure, digital-asset platforms or related technologies.
  • Experience building systems that have supported real financial transactions or institutional capital, rather than purely experimental Web3 products.
  • Enough technical depth to challenge engineers and architects while remaining commercially focused.
  • Strong product instincts and the ability to prioritise what should — and shouldn’t — be built.
  • Experience working with modern AI development and productivity tools.
  • A high degree of autonomy and comfort operating in an early-stage environment.
