Lutine Bell are partnering a highly regulated, purpose-led pension/investment organisation undergoing significant strategic transformation for an experienced Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Committee, you will provide enterprise-wide leadership across Risk, Compliance, Investment Risk and Assurance, helping shape the next phase of growth for a complex, FCA-regulated business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continually enhance the enterprise-wide risk management framework.
  • Oversee Risk, Compliance, Investment Risk, Financial Crime and Assurance functions.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks, risk appetite and Board reporting.
  • Act as the primary senior contact with regulators, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Strengthen operational resilience, conduct risk and organisational governance.
  • Provide trusted advice and constructive challenge to the CEO, Executive Committee and Board.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Risk & Compliance leadership team.
  • Support strategic change initiatives while embedding a strong risk culture across the organisation.

We're seeking a senior executive with:

  • Extensive leadership experience within regulated pension funds, investment management or similarly complex environments.
  • A proven track record leading enterprise risk and compliance functions.
  • Quantitative Investment backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulation, SMCR, governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience engaging with regulators and Board-level stakeholders.
  • The credibility to hold (or be approved for) FCA Senior Management Functions.
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance commercial objectives against regulatory expectations.
