The Data Center & Hybrid business within Computacenter exists to help organisations design, deploy, and operate world-class infrastructure that underpins modern applications, data platforms, and Enterprise AI. We are growing our solutions leadership capability and are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Data Center Pre Sales community, as part of the solution sales team.
Our Data Center team delivers over £20m of professional services annually, helping customers modernise private cloud platforms, build AI-ready infrastructure, deploy resilient data platforms, and extend compute capabilities to the edge. The Data Center & Hybrid team generate over £1bn of combined revenue for the business annually.
This is a senior, visible leadership role responsible for setting technical direction, advancing our propositions, and leading a high-performing team of pre-sales leaders. You will own the technical strategy, proposition evolution, and pre-sales leadership for our Data Center portfolio.

What you'll do
- Define and communicate a clear technical strategy and long-term vision for the Data Center business
- Set a 3–5 year roadmap for the evolution of our technical capabilities and propositions
- Build strong followship across pre-sales, sales, and delivery communities
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of up to 8 solution leads and pre-sales leaders, including future growth
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-calibre technical talent
- Foster a culture of thought leadership, collaboration, and commercial awareness
- Own and continuously evolve our core Data Center propositions, including Private Cloud, AI for enterprise, Edge Computing, and Rapid Data Center deployment
- Lead technical engagement with strategic technology vendors and partners
- Represent Computacenter at vendor advisory boards, industry forums, and internal leadership events
- Act as a trusted technical voice both internally and externally
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex opportunities
- Support key sales campaigns and high-value customer engagements
- Ensure customer challenges and market insights directly inform proposition development
- Partner with marketing teams to translate technical capability into compelling customer messaging
- Be accountable for the delivery of technical showcases and demonstrations using our TechLab facilities
- Ensure the development and maintenance of high-quality sales enablement, training, and collateral

What you'll need
- Experience leading technical, solution, or pre-sales teams in a complex B2B environment
- Strong customer-facing capability, engaging at architect, C-suite, and executive sponsor levels
- Broad and deep technical knowledge across the Data Center technology ecosystem
- Proven experience setting and executing multi-year technical strategies
- A track record of building and leveraging strong vendor relationships and ecosystems
- Experience supporting the sale of professional services and large-scale transformation programmes
