Help shape the digital future of a leading youth-led media organisation
Use your senior leadership experience to guide our highly experienced Digital Transformation Lead who is building a volunteer technology team that will transform how we create opportunities for thousands of young people.

What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who has previously held a senior technology leadership role, such as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), VP Engineering, Head of Technology or a similar position.

You'll have experience of developing technology strategy, leading digital transformation or building technology teams, together with a broad understanding of areas such as cloud platforms, AI, data, automation, systems architecture and cyber security.
Just as importantly, you'll enjoy mentoring others, sharing your knowledge and helping organisations make confident strategic decisions. You don't need to be hands-on with implementation, but you should be comfortable challenging ideas, asking the right questions and helping shape long-term direction.
We're looking for someone who is collaborative, pragmatic and excited by the opportunity to use their experience to create lasting social impact. Experience of the charity or education sector is welcome but not essential.

What will you be doing?
For more than twenty years, Reprezent has been transforming the lives of young people through professional broadcasting, media production and industry-led training. Thousands of young people have developed confidence, skills and careers through our programmes, with alumni progressing to organisations including the BBC, Apple Music and Global.
We have grown organically, rather than around an effective technical structure. As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we're investing time in technology to help us increase our impact, improve efficiency and create new opportunities for the young people we support.

We're looking for an experienced senior technology leader to become our Strategic Technology Advisor.
This is not an operational role and we're not looking for someone to build software or manage day-to-day technology.
Instead, you'll act as a trusted strategic advisor to our CEO and guide the structure that our experienced Digital Transformation Lead work to. You'll provide strategic advice and oversight, rather than leading day-to-day implementation.
Your experience might include roles such as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), VP Engineering, Head of Technology, Technology Director or similar senior technology leadership positions.
You might help us
- Develop our long-term technology and digital strategy.
- Review architecture and technology decisions.
- Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and data more effectively.
- Introduce best practice from the technology sector.
- Guide our Digital Transformation Lead, who supports the development of our volunteer technology team.
- Help identify potential technology partners and pro-bono opportunities.
- Act as a strategic sounding board for major digital decisions.
The role is highly flexible and will typically average around two or three hours per week. Some weeks may simply involve a short online meeting or reviewing a proposal, while others may involve helping us think through a larger strategic opportunity.
