Job Description: Chief Technology and Product Officer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chief Technology and Product Officer based in the United Kingdom.
This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly scaling, AI-native data platform. You will lead a 25+ person product and engineering organization across multiple countries and time zones. The role combines product vision, technical strategy, architecture, and hands-on engineering leadership. You will oversee high-scale scraping infrastructure, proxy networks, anti-bot capabilities, and structured data APIs. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will influence company strategy and represent technology and product at board level. The first months will focus on understanding the technical foundations, strengthening infrastructure capabilities, and unifying recently combined product lines. This is an ideal role for a deeply technical, commercially aware leader who thrives in high-autonomy environments.
Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end product and technology strategy across web scraping infrastructure, proxy networks, anti-bot systems, and structured data API products.
- Lead, scale, and develop a distributed product and engineering organization of 25+ professionals, establishing the management structure and operating model required for continued growth.
- Define technical architecture and engineering direction for highly scalable, reliable infrastructure, including proxy management, anti-bot evasion, and large-scale scraping systems.
- Develop and execute a unified product roadmap across multiple complementary product lines, ensuring technology priorities remain aligned with business objectives.
- Drive the adoption of AI and modern machine-learning capabilities across the product portfolio and engineering workflows.
- Build strong technical understanding of the underlying platform and infrastructure, remaining sufficiently hands-on to troubleshoot critical issues, challenge technical decisions, and guide complex engineering problems.
- Work closely with the CEO, commercial leadership, and board to align product and technology strategy with company-wide priorities and growth plans.
- Strengthen vendor relationships and infrastructure capacity while optimizing proxy operations and the overall technical foundation.
- Lead the integration and consolidation of technology and product capabilities following an acquisition, creating a coherent technical roadmap and operating model.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture characterized by autonomy, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Demonstrated ability to combine product vision, business strategy, and technical architecture rather than focusing exclusively on one discipline.
- Strong track record applying AI/ML to product development and enabling AI-native approaches within engineering organizations.
- Ability to operate effectively at board and executive level, communicate complex technical subjects clearly, and constructively challenge senior stakeholders when appropriate.
- Strong operational judgment and willingness to become directly involved in critical technical issues when necessary, while knowing when to delegate effectively.
- Experience leading organizational transformation, rapid scaling, restructuring, or post-merger/product integration is highly valuable.

- Ability to thrive in a high-autonomy, low-bureaucracy, remote-first environment.

- Opportunity to work with a small, collaborative, international team of SaaS professionals.
- Access to a broad entrepreneurial professional network for sharing expertise, ideas, and learning.
- Opportunity to shape a rapidly growing, AI-focused technology and product organization with significant strategic influence.
- Location-adjusted compensation, aligned with local market medians for a remote-first environment; the salary range will be shared in writing before the first interview.
- Inclusive, diverse, and international working environment with opportunities to collaborate across multiple countries and cultures.
