Time commitment: 2–3 days per week
Reports to: Founder & CMO

Role Mission

Own technical strategy and delivery for the CURE-IO platform, ensuring architecture and development practices meet regulatory-grade software standards ahead of IMDRF Category III / Class II De Novo submission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and own the technical roadmap for CURE-IO, including data pipelines, model deployment, and infrastructure decisions.
  • Ensure engineering practices align with IEC 62304 (software lifecycle), ISO 14971 (risk management), and IEC 82304-1 (health software) as part of the regulatory submission.
  • Lead or oversee the engineering team, including hiring, technical mentorship, and code/architecture review.
  • Build security- and compliance-by-design practices appropriate for a Class II SaMD product.
  • Act as the technical counterpart to clinical and regulatory leads, translating clinical/scientific requirements into engineering specifications.

Ideal Candidate

  • Senior engineering leadership experience, ideally as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering.
  • Direct experience with regulated software (SaMD, medical devices, or similarly regulated environments).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems in a healthcare context; experience with IEC 62304/ISO 14971 strongly preferred.
  • Able to operate hands-on with a small team while also owning strategic technical decisions.
