Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO)

£180,000 - £200,000 + benefits - (Interim option available) 📍London Hybrid

I'm supporting a growing group of creative and communications businesses that is looking to hire a Chief Product and Technology Officer to lead technology, data and AI across its portfolio.

This is not a traditional CTO remit. The group is founder-led and deliberately decentralised, so the mandate is influence and enablement rather than central control. You will work directly with the CEO, the Executive Committee and the founders of each operating business to decide where technology genuinely strengthens the creative and commercial offer, then deliver it.

The role

  • Define and deliver a group-wide AI and technology roadmap tied to commercial, creative and operational priorities
  • Partner with agency founders and CEOs to identify high-impact use cases inside each business
  • Drive adoption of LLMs, automation and data capability across a diverse set of operating companies
  • Set a clear build versus buy position, balancing shared platforms against agency-specific needs
  • Oversee proprietary product development, including brand intelligence tooling, automated RFP generation and internal knowledge systems
  • Define a group data strategy and shared platforms that respect the autonomy of each business, with governance for data, security and responsible AI use
  • Own the core technology foundations: cloud infrastructure, cyber security, enterprise systems, IT and key vendor relationships
  • Build and lead a lean central technology function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
