Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

London (Soho) | Hybrid (3 days per week) | Up to £170,000 + Package & Equity

Are you a technology leader who thrives on building rather than inheriting?

We're partnering with one of the UK's most exciting high-growth SaaS businesses in the health and fitness technology space to appoint their first-ever Chief Technology Officer. This is a genuine opportunity to join an established, profitable software company at a pivotal point in its journey and shape the technology strategy from the executive table.

The platform is already trusted by thousands of customers globally and has achieved approximately £2m ARR. With ambitious plans to scale way beyond that over the next three to five years, the business is now investing heavily in technology, engineering, and product to support its next phase of growth.

This isn't a traditional CTO role where you inherit a mature engineering organization. You'll lead one of the most exciting transformation projects in the UK SaaS market: building an exceptional in-house engineering function while transitioning away from a long-standing outsourced development partner. You'll have complete ownership of the technology strategy, engineering culture, and platform evolution, helping transform an already successful product into a world-class technology business.

This role will suit someone who enjoys creating structure from ambiguity, building high-performing teams, and making strategic technology decisions that directly influence business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

As a member of the executive leadership team, you'll work closely with the CEO, COO, and Chief Product Officer to define the company's technical future.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
