We are partnering with a well-funded, early-stage AI company with genuinely global ambitions to appoint a Chief Technology Officer.
This is an opportunity to join the founding team at the point where some of the most important technology, architecture and organisational decisions are still to be made.
You won’t be inheriting a mature engineering organisation and simply keeping it running. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the technology, build the team, establish the engineering culture and influence the direction of the product from the ground up.
The company is building ambitious AI-native products designed for everyday global use, combining sophisticated AI capabilities with reliable, scalable software engineering.
They are looking for a technology leader who is as comfortable building and making technical decisions as they are leading people.
The Opportunity
As CTO, you will help define both the technical direction and the engineering organisation. You will:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Previous CTO experience is valuable, but job title alone is not the deciding factor. An exceptional VP Engineering, Head of Engineering or technical founder ready to step into broader ownership could be equally relevant.
Why This Is Different
This is a rare opportunity to join a business before the technical organisation has been fully defined.
You’ll have meaningful ownership, significant influence over what gets built and how it gets built, and the opportunity to create an engineering organisation capable of supporting a product with global reach.
For the right person, this is much more than the next CTO title. It is an opportunity to help build something from its earliest stages and have a genuine stake in what it becomes.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
