Overview

A leading financial services firm is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to define and execute the technology strategy across trading, investment, risk, operations, and corporate platforms. Reporting to the CEO and Executive Committee, the CTO will lead a team of approximately 100 engineers, infrastructure specialists, cyber security professionals, and data experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the firm's technology vision, roadmap, and investment strategy.
  • Lead engineering, infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, data, and enterprise architecture functions.
  • Partner with investment, trading, and risk teams to deliver technology that supports business growth and performance.
  • Drive cloud transformation, automation, AI initiatives, and operational resilience.
  • Ensure robust cyber security, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Manage key technology vendors, budgets, and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven CTO, Technology Director, or Head of Technology experience within hedge funds, asset management, banking, or capital markets.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, cyber security, software engineering, and data platforms.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology transformation programmes.
  • Track record managing technology organisations of 75-150+ people.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management skills and commercial acumen.
