About Meta1st.ai
Meta1st.ai is an early-stage, mission-driven startup at the convergence of cybersecurity, Human Risk Management (HRM), and next-generation AI-powered learning. We are building a transformative platform that addresses the human element of security, the most critical vulnerability in any organisation.
We are developing an AI-driven Learning Management System (LMS) that leverages advanced LLMs and video generation to create immersive, adaptive, and engaging security training. Our goal is to revolutionise how organisations manage human risk through intelligent, personalised, and scalable education.
We are currently at the seed stage, with MVP and early adopters, a clear vision and strong market validation. We need a technical co-founder to maintain the architecture, build, and scale our platform to the next level. This is a founding team opportunity for a visionary builder who wants to shape the company's technical and product destiny.
The Role
This is not a conventional managerial CTO role. You will be the lead architect and primary builder from day one, responsible for translating the product vision into a robust, secure, and scalable platform. As we grow, you will recruit and lead a world-class engineering team.
You will have genuine co-founder standing, real authority over the technical roadmap, and meaningful equity ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Vision & Strategy
- Define, own, and execute the long-term technical roadmap, aligning engineering milestones with business goals and funding stages.
- Make critical decisions regarding technology stack, cloud infrastructure, and security architecture for a platform dealing with sensitive security and user data.
- Establish a culture of engineering excellence, agility, and security-first thinking.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Product Development & Architecture
- Full-Stack Development: Lead the end-to-end development of the MVP and subsequent releases. You will be writing production-grade code daily.
- AI & LLM Integration: Design and implement systems leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for adaptive learning, personalized content generation, and prompt engineering. This includes integrating RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures to power the knowledge base of our LMS.
- Video Generation: Architect and build the pipeline for AI-driven video generation for learning modules, exploring and implementing best-in-class generative media solutions.
- Cybersecurity & Human Risk Management: Embed cybersecurity principles into the platform architecture, ensuring the product inherently manages and mitigates human risk. Build features that help clients assess, track, and reduce their human risk footprint.
Security, Compliance & Data Privacy
- Implement robust security protocols, identity verification, and data protection measures from the ground up (Privacy-by-Design). Ensure the platform is GDPR-compliant and secure.
- Navigate technical challenges related to data governance, privacy, and compliance in a high-stakes environment.
Team Building & Leadership
- Transition from a hands-on builder to a technical leader, recruiting, mentoring, and managing the engineering team as the company scales.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and agile engineering culture.
Who You Are
Essential Experience & Skills
- Founding DNA: Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Lead Developer, or Technical Founder in a high-growth startup environment. You are a builder who has shipped products from 0 to 1.
- Full-Stack Mastery: Strong hands-on expertise in modern backend (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go) and frontend (React, TypeScript) development, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and databases.
- AI & LLM Expertise: Deep practical experience working with LLMs, NLP, prompt engineering, and AI agent orchestration. You have built or significantly contributed to AI-powered products.
- Cybersecurity Acumen: Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and risk management. You understand how to build secure systems and can apply this knowledge to Human Risk Management.
- Leadership & Vision: A thought leader who can set a clear technical vision, communicate it effectively, and inspire a team. You thrive on ambiguity and make high-stakes decisions independently.
