Life on the team
Computacenter is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer for Workplace Solutions to provide technology leadership across the Workplace portfolio and champion the evolution of the Workplace strategy.
This senior leadership role will define and communicate Computacenter's Workplace technology vision, ensuring alignment with customer priorities, market trends, partner roadmaps and emerging technologies. The CTO will lead five Workplace Solution Leaders and act as a trusted adviser to customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, broad technical expertise and commercial awareness to shape propositions that resonate with large enterprise organisations and major public sector bodies.
What you'll need
Technology Leadership and Strategy
- Own the strategic technology direction for Computacenter Workplace Solutions.
- Shape and evolve the Workplace go-to-market portfolio.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies that create customer value and commercial opportunity.
- Define technology roadmaps aligned to customer business outcomes and market demand.
- Ensure Workplace propositions remain relevant, differentiated and commercially viable.
Thought Leadership
- Act as a senior technology voice for Workplace Solutions.
- Deliver keynote presentations, customer briefings, industry events and executive workshops.
- Produce strategic content including white papers, blogs, market commentary and technology vision documents.
- Build strong relationships with strategic technology partners and analyst communities.
- Influence customer technology strategies and transformation agendas.
Solution Portfolio Leadership
- Provide governance and leadership across Workplace, including; Modern Endpoint, Workplace AI, Collaboration and Communications, Smart Spaces, Frontline Solutions, Secure Application Access, Digital Employee Experience, Workplace Automation, Device Lifecycle Management, and Analytics and Insights.
- Maintain broad knowledge of adjacent technologies including Cyber Security, Enterprise Networking, Cloud Platforms, Data and AI, Service Management, Automation and Observability.
- Promote coherent, cross-portfolio solutions rather than isolated technology propositions.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Workplace Solution Leaders.
- Establish a culture of innovation, customer focus and accountable execution.
- Support capability development and succession planning across the leadership team.
- Drive collaboration across sales, services, strategy, architecture and delivery teams.

Customer and Market Engagement
- Act as an executive sponsor and trusted adviser for strategic customer opportunities.
- Support major enterprise and public sector pursuits.
- Participate in C-suite customer engagements and strategic workshops.
- Shape complex solution opportunities, transformation roadmaps and business cases.
- Support account planning and market development activities.
Commercial and Business Growth
- Contribute to Workplace revenue growth, pipeline development and profitability.
- Identify new market opportunities, propositions and service offerings.
- Inform investment priorities for the Workplace portfolio.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to accelerate market engagement and opportunity development.
What you'll need
Essential Experience
- Ideally 10+ years of experience in Workplace, End User Computing, Digital Workplace or enterprise IT solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise Workplace technologies and modern operating models.
- Experience leading technology strategy within a major systems integrator, technology services provider, consultancy or large enterprise.
- Proven leadership of senior technical or solution-focused teams.
- Demonstrable experience in executive-level customer engagement.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Experience supporting large enterprise and public sector customers.
Breadth of Technical Knowledge
- Strong Workplace ecosystem knowledge and understand, including Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Copilot, Intune and Windows, as well as Apple and broader Frontline & Mobile landscape experience and understanding,
- AI-enabled Workplace technologies and productivity experiences.
- Collaboration and communications platforms.
- Endpoint management, virtual desktop infrastructure and device lifecycle services.
- Digital Employee Experience, analytics and experience measurement.
- Identity, access management and modern Workplace security.
- Smart buildings, meeting spaces and Workplace technology.
- ServiceNow, workflow automation and observability.
- Cloud platforms, hybrid infrastructure, enterprise networking, data and AI.

The ideal candidate is an established Workplace technology leader with deep technical credibility, strong commercial acumen and the ability to engage C-suite customers. They will bring broad knowledge across enterprise IT, understand how Workplace intersects with AI, Security, Cloud, Networking and Data, and be capable of representing Computacenter as a leading authority on the future of work and digital employee experience.
