AP Executive is partnering with a high-growth data and technology business to appoint a Chief Technology Officer as a defining hire in its next phase of scale.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment. Having successfully built its platform through a combination of specialist vendors and external partners, the business is now ready to bring strategic technology leadership fully in-house at the highest level. The incoming CTO will set the direction, own the vision, and build the function around them.

We are seeking a technology leader who operates primarily at a strategic and organisational level - someone who shapes culture, drives architectural thinking, and partners with the executive team to translate commercial ambition into technical capability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and owning the long-term technology vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives
  • Building, structuring, and leading the internal technology function as it scales
  • Establishing the governance frameworks, engineering culture, and operating standards that will underpin sustainable growth
  • Acting as the primary technology voice at board and executive level, providing clear and confident counsel on technical direction and risk
  • Overseeing the evolution of a growing real-time data platform, with accountability for architecture decisions and strategic vendor relationships
  • Partnering with product, editorial, and commercial leadership to ensure technology remains a competitive differentiator

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
