A leading technology and digital transformation organisation is seeking an experienced CTO / Chief Technology Officer to lead its AI and Business Applications technology strategy across a growing UK consulting practice.
This is a senior technology leadership opportunity for an individual with a strong background across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI and Generative AI, combined with proven experience shaping enterprise technology strategy, leading technical communities and driving commercial growth.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will define and lead the strategic direction for AI-enabled business applications, helping organisations move from experimentation and proof of concept through to scalable, governed and commercially viable solutions.
The role will combine CTO-level technology leadership, enterprise architecture, AI strategy, Microsoft technology expertise, client advisory and commercial development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Defining and owning AI and business applications technology strategy, architecture and multi-year technology roadmaps.
- Leading the development of AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure AI.
- Advising C-suite and senior business stakeholders on AI adoption, technology transformation and enterprise architecture.
- Establishing repeatable architectural patterns, engineering standards, governance frameworks and technology principles.
- Translating emerging Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities into practical business solutions.
- Leading the development of reusable AI accelerators, intellectual property, frameworks and propositions.
- Supporting major bids, RFPs, proposals and client engagements, connecting technical strategy with commercial outcomes.
- Building relationships across the Microsoft ecosystem, technology partners and strategic suppliers.
- Leading and developing senior architects, engineers and technical specialists across a growing technology practice.
- Promoting responsible AI, security, governance, data privacy and ethical technology adoption.
- Helping clients understand how AI can improve productivity, customer experience, operational efficiency and business growth.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate will bring significant senior technology leadership experience, ideally within a Microsoft-focused consulting, systems integration or enterprise technology environment.

Commercial & Consulting Leadership
The successful individual will also bring strong commercial awareness and experience operating with senior clients.
This could include:

- RFP and tender responses
- Proposal development
- Account growth
- Commercial strategy
- Go-to-market development
- Strategic technology partnerships
- Executive-level client advisory
- Developing new technology propositions and services
The ability to communicate complex technology concepts clearly to C-suite, board-level, business and technical audiences will be essential.
Leadership
The role requires an experienced technology leader capable of building high-performing technical communities and creating an environment focused on innovation, engineering excellence and continuous development.
Experience leading architects, engineers, consultants or multidisciplinary technology teams is highly desirable, alongside a track record of mentoring senior technical talent and developing organisational capability.
