Chief Technology Officer / VP of Technology

As the executive technology leader for a global energy advisory firm of roughly 300 professionals across Europe and North America, you will hold complete accountability for the entire technical ecosystem. This pivotal role balances high-level commercial impact with a practical, hands-on approach, bridging internal corporate systems with sophisticated client-facing digital products. You will lead cross-border enterprise IT, oversee a distributed international team, direct managed services, and orchestrate modern AI and automation strategies to scale operations efficiently. Operating in an agile, business-first environment without heavy administrative friction, your technical vision and execution will directly shape company growth, vendor partnerships, and core client capabilities across multiple regions.
Accountabilities
- Enterprise IT and operations across multiple countries, including network infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoint management, global service desk, and identity and access management.
- Internal business systems and reporting architecture, maintaining and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Finance & Operations, and associated data workflows.
- Portfolio management of client-facing platforms in two regions, defining product roadmaps, ensuring system connectivity, and driving continuous platform maintenance.
- AI and automation integration, collaborating directly with business units to optimize processes and deploy modern tools that drive growth without proportional headcount expansion.
- Strategic technology cost management, managing global vendor relationships, licensing negotiations, and outsourced managed-service arrangements.
- Leadership and mentorship of a distributed, multi-country technology team, fostering a high-performance culture across time zones.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
