UniNexus AI Ltd is an AI-powered platform that connects students, universities, and employers in a single integrated digital ecosystem. The platform combines professional networking, learning, career development, and intelligent job matching to support users at every stage of their journey. Students can build detailed profiles, access courses, receive personalized AI tutoring, discover opportunities, and engage with university and employer communities. UniNexus is initially launching with university students in Wolverhampton, with a broader mission to expand access to education, employability, and professional opportunity across the UK and internationally.
Role Description
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at UniNexus AI Ltd, you will lead the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution for the platform in alignment with business objectives. You will oversee software engineering teams, guide architectural decisions, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing AI-powered solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Managing the technology roadmap
- Collaborating with product and business stakeholders
- Setting development standards and best practices
- Mentoring technical leaders
You will evaluate and adopt relevant technologies, supervise platform reliability and data security, and support continuous improvement of engineering processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverhampton.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Software Development, with experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex digital platforms.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT Strategy and Technology Leadership, with the ability to align technical direction with business goals.
- Deep understanding of Architecture and system design, including cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, and integrations.
- Experience in Product Development, working closely with product and UX teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Prior leadership experience in AI, data-driven products, or education/employability platforms is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
