Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

6–12 Month Contract | 1–2 Days per Week | London

We are working with a fast-growing luxury travel business looking to engage an experienced Fractional CTO to provide strategic technology leadership during an exciting period of growth.

The business has an ambitious technology roadmap and a talented internal leader who is progressing into a Head of Technology role. They are looking for an experienced CTO to act as a mentor, coach and strategic advisor, helping to shape the technology function, strengthen technical decision-making and provide guidance as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the leadership team on technology direction and long-term planning.
  • Mentor and develop the internal Head of Technology, supporting their transition into a more senior leadership role.
  • Review the existing technology landscape and provide recommendations on architecture, systems, security and scalability.
  • Help define the technology roadmap, priorities and governance for the next phase of growth.
  • Provide guidance on technology investment, supplier relationships and key technical decisions.
  • Support the development of best practice across engineering, product and technology operations.
  • Offer senior input into organisational design, team structure and future hiring plans where appropriate.

  • Previous experience as a CTO or senior technology leader within a scaling travel business.
  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to balance innovation with practical delivery.
  • Experienced in mentoring and developing technology leaders.
  • Confident influencing founders and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a fractional, advisory capacity and adding value quickly.
