Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO)
The company is an entrepreneurial global technology services group of around 1,500 employees with a presence across three continents and serving some of the most amazing Direct-to-Consumer brands in the US and UK. We are building a new technology venture in stealth mode around software, data and AI combined with services (including forward deployed teams) to help businesses identify high-value operational opportunities, quantify their impact and activate improvements.
We are looking for a Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO) to take the product from early prototype to a production-ready platform used by paying enterprise customers, while building the product and technology organization behind it.
This is a true combination of the CTO and CPO roles. You will own what we build, why we build it, how we build it, and how quickly we get it deployed in organisations.
We are looking for someone with unusual range: strong product judgment, real technical depth, systems thinking and a relentless instinct to ship.
The CTPO will report directly to the CEO and be part of the company’s executive team.
The Mandate
This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity in which you will have full ownership of product, engineering and AI/data.
You will inherit an approximately 10-person engineering team and have broad freedom to change what needs changing: architecture, technology stack, team structure, product processes and development practices. You will have substantial autonomy over product and technology strategy — and equally substantial accountability for the outcome.
In brief, the mandate is to build an exceptional product, get it into the hands of real customers, prove that it creates measurable value, and build the organization capable of scaling it.
What You Will Own
Product
- Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization and sequencing.
- Decide what gets built — and what should not.
- Establish rigorous product-management discipline across discovery, experimentation, release and post-launch learning.
- Work directly with customers, prospects and commercial teams to identify the problems that matter most.
- Create a strong bias toward shipping, learning and iterating rather than over-engineering.
- Set a high bar for UX and product design.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Technology & AI
- Own technology strategy, architecture and engineering end to end.
- Make the major decisions across architecture, stack, infrastructure and technical standards.
- Remain personally close to technical design, architecture, prototyping and code where it matters.
- Own engineering velocity, reliability, quality and delivery.
- Decide what should be retained, refactored or rebuilt.
- Own AI and data strategy, including where AI genuinely creates value and where it does not.
- Build differentiated technology or data capabilities that can contribute to long-term defensibility.
- Own security, privacy, resilience and enterprise technical readiness. We do not want a technology executive who has moved so far from the work that every technical question must be delegated.
Team
- Lead the combined product, engineering and AI/data organization.
- Assess the existing team and redesign the organization where required.
- Recruit exceptional technical and product talent.
- Build strong technical leadership beneath the CTPO role.
- Set a high performance bar and create a culture of urgency, ownership, intellectual honesty and high standards. We would rather have a smaller group of exceptional builders than a large team producing activity without momentum.
Customers & Commercial Impact
You must have an orientation to stay close to and engage with customers and prospects in order to validate product direction, support critical early deployments and rapidly incorporate real-world learning into the roadmap.
Who We Are Looking For

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You may already be a CTO, CPO or CTPO, or an exceptional VP / Head of Product / Head of Engineering ready for a broader mandate. We care far more about what you have built than your title, university or employer logos.
You will likely have:
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- A strong record of taking meaningful technology products from concept through launch and iteration.
- Exceptional product judgment.
- Deep technical fluency and the ability to participate directly in architecture and engineering decisions.
- A willingness to remain technically hands-on as the organization grows.
- Strong applied understanding of modern AI and machine-learning systems.
- Excellent systems thinking across product, technology, data and workflows.
- Strong product-management discipline.
- A bias toward speed, action and continuous iteration.
- Confidence to challenge assumptions and existing architecture.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity without waiting for perfect information.
- Experience with, or a strong appreciation of, B2B technology combined with services.
If you can demonstrate exceptional technical capability, product judgment and evidence of shipping meaningful products, we are interested.
How You Operate
You will probably enjoy this role if you:
- Prefer building to administering.
- Move quickly and dislike unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Naturally move between product and technology.
- Want to stay close to the work.
- Make hard decisions when they need to be made.
- Have strong convictions but change your mind when the evidence changes.
- Care more about products being used than presentations about products being built.
- Are energized by substantial autonomy and equally substantial accountability. We are trying to build something exceptional. We are looking for someone who finds that prospect energizing.
Compensation
Competitive executive compensation plus a meaningful equity or long-term incentive opportunity.
