Your mission

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Truckie to join our FIA World Endurance Championship operation.

As a key member of the Team’s Operations department, the Chief Truckie will take overall responsibility for the team's transporters, race-event logistics and vehicle operations. Working closely with the Sporting Director, Head of Logistics, Engineering and Technical departments, you will ensure that the team’s equipment and infrastructure are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule to every test and race event.

This is a senior, hands-on position for an individual who understands the demands of elite motorsport and can combine exceptional organisational ability with practical expertise and strong leadership.

The successful candidate will combine excellent HGV driving and logistics experience with strong leadership, organisational and practical skills. Previous experience within high-level motorsport, ideally WEC, Le Mans, IMSA, ELMS, FE or Formula 1, is highly desirable.

This is a permanent position, based full time in Frant, Kent, when not travelling.

About the role

Transport and logistics

  • Drive HGV race transporters to circuits across the UK and international events.
  • Transport race cars, spare parts, tools, pit equipment, workshop equipment safely and on schedule.
  • Take overall responsibility for the team’s HGV’s, trailers and support vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with driving hours, customs procedures, carnets, and transport regulations.
  • Plan transport schedules & load plans for sea, road and air freight.

Workshop Responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of logistics equipment, flight cases, tools and infrastructure
  • Order parts required to keep equipment maintained to a high level.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly stored, secured and transported.
  • Check and maintain stock of consumables.
  • Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean, organised, and race ready.
  • Assist mechanics and Operational staff with preparations between events.

Race event Operations

  • Assist the set-up of awnings, flooring, workstations, and equipment.
  • Manage wheels and tyres for the team during test and race events.
  • Support pit crew operations where required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance of the team’s paddock area throughout the event.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels of consumables and operational equipment.
  • Manage the execution of your load plans for trucks/freight containers

Your profile

Skills and qualifications

  • HGV/LGV Class 1 licence.
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Experience with articulated vehicles.
  • Forklift licence (preferred)
  • Good mechanical understanding.
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and travel internationally for extended periods.
  • Strong teamwork, organisation, and high attention to detail.
