Job Opportunity for a Forensic or Clinical Psychologist
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, creative, and highly skilled Forensic or Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting children and young people in a secure setting.
You will join our fantastic multi-disciplinary team at our Lincolnshire Secure Children's Home, rated Outstanding by both CQC and Ofsted. The service sits within our Children's and Young Person's Complex Care Service Line, alongside the Harmful Behaviour Service and Complex Needs Service. Our Secure Children's home provides care for up to 12 young people aged 10-18.
Many of the young people we support have experienced significant adversity, including trauma, mental health challenges, neurodevelopmental difficulties, and risk of harm to themselves or others.
You will work closely with our Highly Specialist Forensic Psychologist/Clinical Lead and a range of professionals to create a safe, containing environment and deliver interventions that help young people understand themselves, their mental health, and their offending behavior.
In this role you will have opportunities to lead on psychological formulations, deliver individual and group interventions, and contribute to staff training and development.
Applications from nearly qualified psychologists are welcome. For further information, please contact Natalie Islip at: natalie.islip@nhs.net

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
