Are you an organised and compassionate administrator with exceptional attention to detail? Join our Child Death Review Service and play a vital role in helping improve outcomes for children, young people and families across Kent and Medway.

In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-quality administrative, coordination and data management support to statutory Child Death Review processes. You'll coordinate multi-agency meetings, maintain accurate records and databases, support reporting requirements and ensure reviews progress efficiently and effectively.

Working closely with healthcare professionals, local authorities, police, education and partner organisations, you'll handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and care. Your work will contribute to learning from child deaths, helping shape improvements in services and support for families.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating statutory Child Death Review meetings, including Joint Agency Responses, Rapid Reviews, Child Death Overview Panels and thematic reviews.
  • Managing diaries, meeting arrangements, agendas, papers, minutes and action logs.
  • Processing child death notifications and maintaining accurate, secure databases, records and tracking systems.
  • Monitoring review timescales, following up outstanding information and escalating delays or data quality concerns.
  • Collating, validating and submitting data for reports, dashboards, audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Acting as a professional point of contact for NHS services and partner agencies, including local authorities, police, education and HM Coroner’s Office.
  • Handling highly sensitive and confidential information in accordance with information governance and data protection requirements.
  • Supporting quality assurance, service improvement, standard operating procedures and wider safeguarding activities.
  • Providing routine team administration, as required.
