At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we're looking for an enthusiastic and organised After School Club Deputy Manager to join our team at Christchurch Primary School, Bradford upon Avon, Wiltshire BA15 1ST

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting a team and helping to create an exciting, safe and inclusive environment where children can have fun, build confidence and make new friends.

As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Club Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the club, support your team and play an important role in delivering fantastic experiences for children every day.

πŸ•’ Working Hours

Monday to Friday

2:30pm – 6:00pm

17.5 hours per week during term time

There is also the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during our Holiday Clubs, should you wish to increase your hours.

🌟 What You'll Be Doing

As an After School Club Deputy Manager, you'll support the Club Manager with the day-to-day running of the provision and help ensure children receive outstanding care.

You'll:

  • Support, motivate and supervise the club team to deliver a safe, engaging and effective programme.
  • Help create a positive team environment where colleagues feel supported and valued.
  • Plan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, creative play and downtime activities.
  • Encourage children to participate, explore their interests and develop confidence and independence.
  • Help ensure activities are inclusive and suitable for all children.
  • Support the implementation of JAG policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, school staff and colleagues.
  • Help maintain excellent communication between the Club Manager, team, school, families and JAG's central operations team.
  • Support the smooth running of registers, routines and day-to-day club administration.
  • Step up and take responsibility when required.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Caring and passionate about working with children.
  • Confident and approachable, with the ability to support and motivate others.
  • Organised and proactive, with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Creative and enthusiastic about planning fun activities.
  • Reliable and flexible, with the ability to use their own initiative.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys building positive relationships.
  • Someone who wants to develop their childcare and leadership skills.

You may already have experience as a Playworker, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Nursery Practitioner, Activity Leader, Youth Worker or in another childcare or education setting.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience would be an advantage, but we're also happy to hear from someone who is ready to take their first step into a leadership role.
