This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, friendly team in a well-established nursery. You will be working alongside a professional and experienced team, learning a range of skills to develop a career in an Early Years setting.
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in Early Years
- GCSE in English (grade C/4 or above or equivalent)

Responsibilities
- Ensuring safety of children at all times
- Supervising outdoor play
- Supporting development through play
- Planning and carrying out activities
- Preparing and feeding children
- Keeping the nursery clean
- Dealing with parents and completing paperwork
- Attending additional training as required (e.g., first aid)
- Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed
- Undertaking the role and responsibilities of key person
- Providing sensitive and respectful personal care for children from birth to 5 years
- Advocating for all children’s needs, including those requiring SEND or EAL support
- Promoting and facilitating children’s interpersonal communication
- Supporting children to develop a positive sense of their own identity and culture
- Supporting children to understand and respond to their emotions
- Assessing the responsiveness of the environment for effective child-centred experiences
- Creating inclusive, child-centred, dynamic, innovative, and evolving physical environments
- Creating inclusive and supportive emotional environments
- Applying strategies that support children’s ability to manage change, transition, and significant events
- Analysing observation evidence to assess and plan learning
- Facilitating and supporting child-centred opportunities and experiences
- Providing adult-led opportunities and experiences

- Wage: £15,808 a year
- Training course: Early years educator (level 3)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours a week. Working hours are 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 4 days per week depending on ratio and nursery needs. Day off confirmed monthly.
- Duration: 1 year 9 months
- Uniform garments provided free of charge
- On successful completion of apprenticeship, may be offered permanent employment
