Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 Early Years Educator (GM)
Location: Bolton, Lostock, Bolton

Summary
This apprenticeship is ideal for someone with some prior knowledge and experience within a nursery or school setting, and especially someone passionate about childcare and early years, looking to further their career.
Wage: £12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
Training Course: Early years educator (level 3)
Hours: The average working week will be between 30-40 hours, Monday - Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.
Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. What you'll do at work includes:
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun
- Supporting children’s learning and development, including supporting planning and observations
- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea
- Supporting children’s self-help needs
- Being creative and enthusiastic
- Following safeguarding rules
- Undertaking First Aid training as required
- Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in standards or appropriate legal requirements as required
- Ensuring that all health and hygiene requirements are always adhered to

Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Training Provider: SWIFT ACI
Training Course: Early years educator (level 3)
Course Contents: The training covers various aspects of childcare and education, including safeguarding, health and safety, communication, and curriculum development.
Training Schedule:
You will gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification at the end of the course. All training is completed remotely via Teams. Online remote training sessions will take place once every week for the first 8 weeks.

About this employer
We aim to provide a safe, nurturing and enabling environment for children to grow and develop to the best of their abilities. We encourage children to learn through creative play to be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. Our nursery opened September 2019 most of our resources are brand new. We have lots of storage to rotate our equipment and change our open plan rooms around to fit with our ever changing planning.
After this apprenticeship
Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship. After completion, you will develop into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a permanent position upon successful completion. There is also the potential to go into other childcare-oriented roles, e.g., social work, teaching, managerial roles, etc.
