Childcare Practitioners have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the young people we support.
Roslin House is a state-of-the-art 8-bedded respite service that supports children and young people ages 5 - 18 with additional support needs to enjoy short stays. At Roslin House, we provide short breaks and specialist support for children and young people with complex additional support needs. Every stay is an opportunity to create positive experiences, build confidence, promote independence, and provide families with trusted support.
We're looking for compassionate, motivated, and values-led Childcare Practitioners who are passionate about making a difference. You'll support children and young people to enjoy meaningful activities, achieve personal outcomes, build relationships, and experience fun, safe, and memorable short breaks.
No two days are the same. One moment you may be supporting a young person to access the community, the next you may be helping with communication, personal care, sensory activities, or celebrating an achievement they have accomplished.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
