Childcare Solicitor, 3+ PQE, Lancashire: Make a Difference to Children and Families While Advancing Your Legal Career

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join the highly regarded Childcare team of a respected law firm in Lancashire.
This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied and rewarding caseload of public law children matters while working within a supportive and collaborative team. Alongside managing your own files, you'll play an important role in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success and growth of the department.
The Role
You will manage a busy caseload of childcare matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients while delivering the highest standards of client care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Advising parents, guardians and CAFCASS-appointed Children's Guardians on a wide range of childcare matters.
- Managing all aspects of public law children work, including care proceedings and emergency protection matters.
- Handling Legal Aid and CCMS applications and procedures.
- Advising on police protection orders, child protection case reviews and related public law issues.
- Providing supervision, guidance and support to junior Solicitors, Paralegals, Caseworkers and Trainees.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding client experience and contribute to the continued development of the department.

The Candidate
Applications Are Welcomed From Solicitors Who Can Demonstrate
- A minimum of 2 years PQE specialising in Childcare Law.
- Experience managing a varied public law children caseload independently.
- Strong technical knowledge of Legal Aid and CCMS procedures.
- Excellent communication, advocacy and client care skills.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous.
- A proactive, organised and compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
