Childcare Solicitor – NQ to 4 PQE
London - Hybrid & Flexible Working - Multi-Office Law Firm
We are working with a well-established, multi-office law firm that is looking to appoint a Childcare Solicitor at NQ to 4 PQE to join its growing Family team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive environment, with the benefit of genuine hybrid and flexible working.
The Role
You will join an experienced Family team and handle a varied caseload of public and private children matters, representing parents, guardians and other parties where appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own caseload of childcare matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients in relation to care proceedings, placement orders and related children matters
- Preparing statements, applications and other court documentation
- Attending hearings and representing clients where appropriate
- Working closely with counsel, social workers, experts and other professionals
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Family department

About You
We are looking for a Childcare Solicitor with 0–4 years' PQE who has:
- Experience in childcare/family law, ideally with exposure to public children work
- Strong advocacy, drafting and case management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A client-focused and empathetic approach
- The ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively under pressure
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Family Law
