Permanent, Part Time 20 hours per week working 9am-2:30pm (4 days per week, working term time only).

Are you passionate about supporting young children and helping childminders access high-quality opportunities for children and families across Bristol?

We are looking to recruit two Childminding Group Support Workers to join Bristol's Childminding Support Team. Working alongside the Childminding Lead and Childminding Support Team, you will play a key role in delivering welcoming, inclusive and accessible childminding groups across the city.

The groups provide valuable opportunities for childminders and the children in their care to come together, build relationships, share experiences and access quality play and learning opportunities.

You will be responsible for supporting the planning, preparation and delivery of childminding group sessions at a variety of venues across Bristol. Groups operate during term time and run between 9:30am and 11:00am, with post holders working 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Thursday to allow time for preparation, set up, administration and travel between venues.

Working Closely With The Childminding Support Team, You Will:

  • Support the delivery of childminding groups across Bristol.
  • Create safe, engaging and welcoming environments for children and childminders.
  • Set up and clear away resources and equipment.
  • Build positive relationships with childminders, children and families.
  • Promote inclusion and ensure groups are accessible to all attendees.
  • Contribute to monitoring attendance and gathering feedback to support service improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Early Years Improvement Team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
